The site is situated at the promenade in the centre of Punat, a small village on the island Krk in Croatia. An existing hotel with 160 rooms will be replaced by a new four star hotel with 205 rooms. A generous wellness and spa area with an indoor and outdoor pool, different saunas, massage-, fitness- and recreation possibilities will be part of the new the hotel . The new complex integrates a historic chapel which has been found on the site. The existing pine-trees frame the hotel building and provide a cool recreation area. The central three-storey lobby connects the entrance area with the promenade. The transparency of the ground floor offers a great view to the sea and provides good orientation for the guests. The hotel rooms offer in equal measure a stunning view over the bay of the Mediterranean Sea, the pine-trees and the outdoor spa area.
