vienna - design 2006 The building is composed of two parts, which are telescoped into each other. The larger structure widens to the south-west while the smaller is raised above the ground and frames the children's area. The restricting situation on the plot demands a self contained building. Nevertheless the design allows an unobstructed view from the entrance hallway throughout the whole ground level and into the garden. In the space between the two structures, the staircase leads from the upper gallery to the living room and further forward into the garden. The living room opens onto a large gallery, which connects children's and parent's areas to both sides of the central open space. | ||
